How to Play

What is Pop the Reveal?

It began with a single question — boy or girl? — and a sky full of balloons waiting to answer it. Pop the Reveal was made for gender reveals and baby showers, where guests choose a side and every pop is a cheer for their guess. But the balloons don't mind what you're celebrating. Name your own event, name your own teams, and the same bright sky becomes a birthday rivalry, a wedding showdown, an office-party face-off or a family-reunion grudge match. Whatever brings your people together, give them a side to root for and something to pop.

The party in three steps

  1. The host names the party and the two teams, picks the balloons, and gets one link.
  2. Guests open the link, choose a nickname and a team. No app, no account.
  3. Every point a guest scores adds to their team's total. The highest-scoring team wins.

Scoring

  • Pop your own team

Every balloon wearing your team's face is +1 point.

  • x5

    Build a streak

Every 5th pop in a row is worth 2 instead of 1.

  • Miss the other side

Popping the other team costs 1 point and wipes your streak to zero.

  • Golden balloons

Yours is +5. Theirs is -5. Your streak is untouched either way.

  • Red ladybug

Turns up on every 15-pop streak and is worth 20. She leaves after 7 seconds.

  • Bomb balloon

Worth 3, then 5 seconds where every balloon scores.

  • +10s

    Beat the clock

A round runs 90 seconds. Streaks at 35 and every 15 thereafter (35, 50, 65...) each add 10 seconds more. Every bonus also speeds up the balloons and widens their drift, so the time you win is the hardest time to play.

Scoreboards & prizes

  • Live Scores

Ranks everyone who played in the last hour and updates as they pop. Hosts can use it to crown the top scorer of the game played at the party.

  • Leaderboard

Every player's best round across the whole game. Hosts can use it to award the all-time top scorer.
